Includes two volumes in German of Carl Hering, 1882. Volume 1 concerns double cloth construction and includes drafts in color and designs; volume 2 is headed "Compositions Lehre" and includes drafts, designs and swatches. Also includes three volumes in English of Paul Hering, Lowell Textile School, 1907-1909. Two volumes concern cloth designing and contain drafts, swatches, and lecture notes. The first volume has a picture of Southwick Hall and Falmouth St. Building pasted in. The second has a woven picture designed by Vesper L. George pasted in. The third volume concerns cloth analysis and mill arithmetic and includes swatches, drafts, lecture notes and information on shrinkage.
